Description:
My name is Betty Crook, and I teach sixth-grade science and social studies at CHMS here in beautiful Troy, Alabama.
I am a native of Elba, Alabama; however, my husband was a career military officer so I moved around quite a bit before settling down here in Troy. We've lived in Troy for 17 years so I guess you could say we are almost permanent residents now!
I received both my bachelors and masters degrees in Elementary Education from Troy University. I am married to Harry Crook who is a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel. Harry teaches psychology at the university. We have two children, Clark and Christopher. Christopher is a recent graduate of TU and is currently serving his country with the army in the Middle East. Clark and Nicole live in Dothan and have blessed us with a beautiful granddaughter, "Alivia", that is four years old and a grandson, "Ian" that is now two.
During the school day, I teach one social studies class, four science classes, and one integrated learning class.
